Question A/C Question

Hello, I have decided to put the A/C back in my TR. I have two compressors, one on car and one off. The lines have been off for many years. I have a new orfice and evaporator (the canister thingy). I also have a stash of R-12. What size o-rings do I need? How do I determine witch compressor is better? Basically, what do I need to concider and prepare for as I reinstall the lines and condencer, orfice, evaporator, etc... Any help would be appreceiated.
Thanks,
H. Howard.

Default Re: A/C Question

evaporator is in the firewall
dont u mean accumulator? (round canster next to orifice tube )

best to take the old o rings to match them up

use some oil on the seals when tighting them up,
make sure u pull a vacuum on the system after its back together

put some dye in (r-12 is getting thin) so u can find a leak

the r-4 compressor tend to leak at the housings

hope that helps
