cold air intakes
i got the same cold air intake setup as when i bought my 86 TR a little over a year ago and it's not too bad, but i dont like it. The maf sensor was threaded into the side of the K&N filter and when i had to take it off to recharge it the rubber threads came off as well. Plus part of the air filter is touching the one of the radiator hoses too. I'd like to buy a new cold air intake kit. A quality one. Are there any that already have a place to screw the maf sensor into so i dont have to worry about any threads coming off? Or am i stuck with making a custom one? Any info as to where i could find these would be great. thanks

Re: cold air intakes
I made my own cold air intake system for my 87 we4. I didnt like the idea of the MAF temp sensor stickin into the air filter either. So, i drilled a hole and inserted a grommet. I havn'e had any problems with it. It is an acutal cold air intake too that runs behind the headlight. If you want, send me your e-mail and i'll send you a pic. I can get you the entire kit for under $100 w/ k&n 9" filter.
