Default Engine Differences?

I have a 1984 Buick Grand National with what i think is a broken piston. Instead of rebuilding it and not being able to drive it I want to find another block while I rebuild the original, in order to take my time and not let my impatience get the best of me. Are the blocks and pistons in the grand national interchangable with the "standard" Regals 3.8s?

The pistons from Naturally Aspirated (NA) 3.8 liter Buick engines are not interchangable with the pistons from the turbocharged 3.8 liter Buick engines.

Check out http://www.gnttype.org/general/v6hist.html for more information about the blocks.
