Re: adjustable wastgate
Split this off since we started discussing chips so much. This is an '85 with an '86/'87 ECM for those just tuning in...
Do all the Reds' chips have red/orange stickers? The chip with the "R 93 2 7" should be stock injector, 93 octane chip. The one with the "T" as well may have some special feature. (i.e. Knock sensing delay, use of the "Service Engine" light as a shift light, etc.) The ones that say things like "50#" and "stock inj." are not likely to be Red's. At least not originals; may be copies. Especially if handwritten and/or not on red/orange stickers.

Re: Red Armstrong Chips (Was: adjustable wastgate)
I found another in my box of parts. It is a blue sticker (r t 93 5) the "5" is hand written. When I bought the car the guy gave me about 20 boxes of parts to boot...... I may find more...... Are these chips made by Red Armstrong of Quad Air????? If so about a ten minute drive from me....

Re: Red Armstrong Chips (Was: adjustable wastgate)
Yes; Red Armstrong = Quad Air. AFAIK, all his chips use the red stickers over the window on top. The R93/R100/R108/R107/R106 is printed, and all other digits are handwritten in the corners of the stickers. What is in the corners and which corners depends on which chip and what options are set up in that chip.
Checking with him would definitely be one way to tell what you have.
