Need help on turbo system: Not running

I am a new owner of an 86 GN Turbo. I do not have much knowledge on the mechanics of the Turbo System. The car is not running and I can not figure it out. While it was running the positive cable was disconnected from the battery. I believe I have spark but it won't start.
