Default MAX rpm???

Just wondering what everyone limits their revs to? I have the digital dash and it doesnt seem very accurate. It will show 6000 rpm with plenty of rev to go. Obviously I'm going to get a seperate tachometer, on the way. It is a relatively stock 85 GN. Thanks in advance.

Default Re: MAX rpm???

I think the stock chip had the limited at about 5700 RPM (from memory).

Max. limit is 6350.

The transmission usually shifts at about 5000 RPM (+-300 RPM ).

It sounds like your dash tach is a bit whacked ...
