Fuel injector size

I just recently rebuilt my 85 engine with forged pistons, ported heads, port-matched intake, hotter cam, stock-replacement turbo, etc. I have 42.5 lb injectors and someone told me they are too big for my car. I have the chip made for 42.5 lb injectors. Are they too much?

Perhaps more than you really need. But they are a well known injector and can be easily worked with by those who make chips, etc.

If you are concerned about emissions, etc. I would suggest something smaller. Especially if there is no turbo upgrade in your future. Stock (28#), 30# green stripe, or 36# blue top or 868 injectors might be more appropriate. The 36# ones can even accomodate a small turbo upgrade. I use 36# 'blue tops' on my '87 T with a TA49.
