I recently purchase an 87 GN after owning two in the past. However, unlike the previous 2, I am only getting about 10 MPG around town with the air on (with the others I got about 15 to 18). This car has 44k miles, an "ultrachip" (circa 1988) which I drive at a 3 and 32 lb green stripe injectors. What can I do to increase the mileage - particularly at $2.60/gallon. I know this isn't much to go on, but I need a point of departure. Thanks.

First thing to do is try another chip ... it could be that the chip isn't calibrated for the injectors or even just has a bad calibration in it.

Thanks, Ken. How would I choose a chip with the "proper" calibration? Doug

I'd contact somebody like Eric Marshall at Turbotweak, Mike at Full Throttle, or Joe Lubrant and tell them your combination.
For about $50-75 you can get a chip with the latest technology in it for your combo.
