running out of fuel up top

i was at the track tonight, and ran a 13.96. after the 1/8 mile it seemed to be running out of fuel at the top of the rpm's and i dont know why. its the stock fuel rail with 42# injectors, acufab regulator and im not too sure on the pump. i just figured it should be going faster than that because i trapped 91 mph, really low for the time i think. please help me out on ways to solve this problem :confused:

Chip? Boost? Fuel pressure? Scan tool data? Time slip?

With some data, we might be able to sort something out....

This an 84/85 or 86/87? The latter should be able to better that with no more than a chip change if all else is working well.

well there is a ta-49, a poston 7 position chip, 42# injectors, a fuel press regulator, which at idle is at 42 lbs. and dual hooker supercomp mufflers.

does that hepl at all?


oh and its an 87

How much boost were you running? Pump gas or race gas?

If your not sure on the pump,Replace it with a 340 walbro or equivilent and hot wire it,Also make sure you fule filter gets changed regually.
