im not sure but i think black is ground
tan is fuel pump power
not sure on red

Not sure the colors on the 86 and 87 cars agree completely. The hanger wiriing is slightly different. Can't speak to the 84/85 cars. There are other pages in the manual with other diagrams.

Black is likely ground, red likely pump power, and the other is likely sender signal. Can always probe the connector with voltmeter while car is on to verify.

is this the plug you have?

If it is the pink " or red" wire should be the fuel sender signal wire
