I remember before I dismantled my GN, that the guage would show pressure for at least 30 minutes after the car shut down. Now with the BIGGER fuel lines it immediately zero's. So the question is....is this normal?

Let the lesson begin.................

Did you change pump? Pickup? Filter?

It could just be the check valve in the pump is leaking down a bit ...

It's an Aeromotive A1000. There is no check valve. Pump to rail to regulator to tank, that's it. Do I need to install a check valve? I am holding 42 psi at idle. I am also using a remote spin on filter.

I'll bet it has some sort of internal valve to maintain prime ... if it doesn't start hard, I wouldn't worry about it as long as you are certain it's going back to the pump.

You can clamp off the return and feed lines with pressure at the rail. If it maintains pressure, the injectors aren't leaking ... and personally, I'd say it's good enough at that point.

Thanks Ken.

All seems well then. Starts right up and purrs like a kitten on crack.
