i have 43# injectors and my 87 gn runs really rich. tried lowering fuel pressure and got not much change. do you need to put a different chip and or mass airflow sensor when changing injector sizes?

yes .. your injectors MUST match your chip

The web sites mentioned are two good ones. There are other sources. (Jay Carter, Red Armstrong, etc.)

Those injectors are 150% larger than stock. Using a stock chip will just cause the motor to be flooded with fuel. A properly calibrated chip is a MUST.

thanks for the input guys. i have a red armstrong pump and chip according to the previous owner. is there a simple way to find out if the armstrong chip is for 43 #r's? can't seem to find a actual website for red armstrong, only a phone number

Look for a decal on the chip, and get the info off of that. Contact Red for the decoding of the decal.
