View Full Version : Low fuel light on all the time

I just replaced all the bulbs behind my 87 Gn analog dash, and now the low fuel level light is on all the time. I'm not even sure if this light is supposed to be there but I put a bulb in there and it just stays on even with a full tank. Is there a sender to this night i can check? Or what else could cause this?

The low fuel light needs a little circuit board in the socket that the bulb plugs into.

If you don't have the circuit board, you shouldn't have the bulb in there. The TRs didn't come with the low fuel level indicator (the Rivs did ... and a lot of TR people used the Riv module).

No special sender. Just takes its reading from the fuel level sender...provided the board is present.

I think the part number might be in the Parts List on the site ... mid 80s Rivs.
