I bought a new hood-mounted fp gauge. It's an Ashcroft, glycerin filled gauge. The gauge had -6an connections, but I used -4an. I know I'm getting incorrect readings from the gauge. Could using the smaller -4 cause this?

Fixed it. Took everything apart, blew it out and used the shop vac with a tube fitting to go inside the gauge. Put it back together and it's dead-on. What a difference being able to look at the larger 2.5" after squinting at the smaller gauge.

Wish I had known that the little rubber stopper on top is where they pour in the glycerin. Opened it up, thinking there might be an adjustment and a little spilled out.

I know a lot of guys don't like the hood-mounted gauge, but I really like knowing what's going on all the time.

thats a sweet and clean install. gives me some better ideas for mine since mine is just rigged up for the moment. did you bend the pipe yourself or did it come in the kit?

I bought it from a guy who bought it at Bowling Green. The hose and the fuel rail are improvised.

Where did you get the Fuel gauge hood mount? i have been looking for one and nobody is selling them. I was planing on putting my EGT & Fuel PSI on the hood mount. That way i can see them when running at the track....

I bought the first one several years ago from Kenne Bell. I don't know who made the one I have now. Here's some pics. Maybe you can fabricate one. I'm putting an upgraded gauge on so it's all apart. If you want more pics let me know.
