Maybe a dumb question, but in our TR's, can you have too much fuel pressure? If so, what will happen? Can you get knock with too much fuel pressure? I know it's usually the other way around, but I was just wondering.

if your car is running extremely rich you will high EGTs from the unburnt fuel being burned in the exhaust, you will get very poor gas mileage, lack of power, fouled plugs, maybe destroy the cat [?]

What's an EGT?

Not trying to hijack.....Ken I just noticed you bit the bullet and bought a red vehicle.....good for you. The neighbors probably thought you were FBI or CIA.

Over rich conditions (and we're talking pretty excessively rich) can cause knock when the fuel autoignites under high pressure (i.e. high boost and high combustion temps/pressures). Kind of a like a diesel ... it's not as prevalent (or as severe) as lean detonation however.

Is there an O2 sensor voltage that is common and higher for "rich knock"?
