Looking for my first GN

I am looking to buy my first 87 GN, I want an 87 Black GN with minor mods. Something that is not heavily modded as it is my first venture into the turbo V6 community but something that is still faster than stock.

What suggestions on mods should I look for when buying?
What are the newbie issues I should be looking for when buying a GN?

Having someone knowledgeable with you would be of benefit.

Since these cars are getting older, many of them have had a lot of hacking and bad work done on them. Best to find one that has been with an owner a long time and treated well, modifications or not. When they get into the hands of those who don't know how to work on them, things can get messed up quick.
