choking (coughing) on high rpms
around 45oo and up rpms the motor feels like it starts to sputter or choke out like a little cough any suggestions?

Man, this is common, and hard to diagnose. Could be anything, almost. First, start off with a voltage check at WOT, above 3000RPM. Fuel pressure? Then on to ignition system. Ohm coil pack. Was car better at some point oin time? What was the last thing you did to car before these symptoms? Do you have a scan tool?
