Re: T-Type and Turbo T, Whats the difference?
For the Regals:
Sport Coupe - 1978-1982 T-Type - 1983-1986 T - 1987 only http://www.gnttype.org/general/product.html http://www.gnttype.org/numbers/rpo.html http://home.flash.net/~rjgeorge/abouttur.htm Note that in 1987, the "T package" did not denote a turbocharged car. It was a handling and appearance package. So a T package (Y56) Regal might have a garden variety V6 or V8. Quite a change from prior years. Both the Y56 and LC2 packages (and all related options) were required to achieve a "Turbo Regal" in 1987. However, T's what were turbocharged and Limiteds were possible as a result in 1987 only.

Re: T-Type and Turbo T, Whats the difference?
Interesting...no indication of that restriction on the '87 brochure. (See http://www.gnttype.org/numbers/rpo.html for a copy of the option page a fair ways down)
Good to know...

Re: T-Type and Turbo T, Whats the difference?
The only true "Turbo T" according to the literature was the 87 WE4. Otherwise it was a Regal or Regal Limited with Turbo Package with T package although all of the 87 non-GNs are usually referred to as "Turbo Ts" Also, the Turbo package required the T Package, but the T Package didn't require the turbo package.
