Default turbo 4.1L

what would happen if i put a stock 4.1L motor in my 87 GN? could 4.1L pistons hold up? i heard 4.1L crank and 3.8L turbo crank are same? please, thanks. Gregg

Not the stock NA 4.1 pistons. You would have to go with an aftermarket (forged?) slug. You can do it...others have. But it takes some work. There is not much meat between cylinders, so special considerations have to be made for head gaskets and such.
