Default What is the max inj size that works with a Stock turbo?

The injectors in my engine are 20+years old. They Ohm test ok, but I suspect they are getting tired.

What injector size works well with a stock turbo setup?

I might get a slightly bigger cam(less than 206 duration), and I might port the Intake, have gasket matched heads.

This is a street driven daily driver kind of car.

I do understand I would replace chip on any size bigger than 32's or 36's.

Thanks for your advice!

I would go with 30 pounders which I believe are Tomco units. They worked very well when I was running a stock Hot Air. The original injectors are 28 pounders. Good luck- Brad

ive been puttin the motoron 60-65# ers on everything these days from stock 86-87's to slightly modded hot airs.. and with the chips from Turbo Tweak or Bob Bailey they all run great... plenty of room for upgrades and perfect driveablilty

Thumbs up Re: What is the max inj size that works with a Stock turbo?

Ok, I should just put in a 30-32-36 to 42.5 based on how high a level I'm going to mod it to. I got a set of 32's in my WS6 ls1 car. Maybe I should use those in the buick and upgrade the Ls1 with the 42.5's.

Will a re-programmed chip help the drive ability of the car at cruise speeds? Who makes best hot-air street chips?

Anything other than 28 or 30. The 36's are a fair upgrade over stock.
