Brake light flashes
Hi everyone,
Lately I have noticed that when I press the brake pedal to slow down (like being behind a car that is making a turn), my brake light will blink on for a second and then shut off. It does not do it when I stop at a light normally. It appears to be dependent on how abrupt the stop or slow down is. I have not had any other trouble with the brakes. Anybody have any insight? Thanks in advance for your help! |

Re: Brake light flashes
Your profile states that you have an '87 GN. That means you have the Powermaster brake system.
Did you go through the diagnostic trees listed at http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/brakes/brakespage.html ? There are several there. Check those first. Chances are good that it may be a failing accumulator bulb, but do the diagnostics first.

Re: Brake light flashes
I will go through the diagnostics and post my results. Thanks for the info. I guess I should have done a posting search first.
Thanks! |
